This year “Keepers of the Culture” will be held at the Quartyard, 1301 Market Street in the East Village The evening begins at 5:00 PM with a reception featuring a jazz trio led by Grammy award winner Kamau Kenyatta. The program begins at 6:00 PM. Ms. Jade Hindmon, Co-Host PBS Midday Edition will moderate a discussion with the honorees about the significant cultural contributions made by African Americans in America cand beyond. This event is free to the public, but capacity is limited, and reservations will be required.
