As Nightmares on Wax Evelyn has – for the last 30 years, as Warp’s longest serving signing – been consistently at the forefront of contemporary music, creating a unique blend of electronica, jazz, hip-hop, dub, funk, soul and techno.
George Evelyn has been a major influence on UK hip-hop and electronic music. Throughout his career, he has produced and released music in various genres including hip-hop, trip hop, nu-jazz, soul and downtempo. He has collaborated with many artists over the years such as Tyler, The Creator, Kamasi Washington and MF DOOM.
